He's a friend of my doctor's son. He said he's a really good kid and a guy cut in front of him and he swerved and lost control. This was the morning -- (edited)

after, before the speed was known. I said the damage on the cars showed he was driving way too fast. He said the car electronics would show his speed. Now of course, his lawyer is arguing there's something wrong with the car data. It's obvious from the crush damage and the distance the parked cars moved after impact it was way more than 70. He was a high school baseball pitching prospect who didn't get drafted, but he's living with his mom in an $8 million house and driving an expensive BMW. He's in big trouble. The DA only charges bad cops and rich people.
