i have ones that run behind my head and don't even fit *in* my ear - they sit in front.

i actually don't like not being able to hear what's happening around me at all if i am outside on busy streets, subway etc.
it does mean that if there are loud sounds in the environment it drowns out what the speakers are playing, but i figure i will sacrifice that.
