By making "touch" hot, Apple has saved Microsoft's tablet PC endeavor. First, Microsoft tested the waters with "Surface", then they built in stellar touchscreen support into Windows 7. Given the number of touchscreen laptops I'm seeing promised in time for Windows 7, I think that this is more than a flash-in-the-pan.
