An economic rebound will depend largely on whether consumers will be willing/able to resume taking on debt to buy big ticket items.

Consumers may return to their old spending ways somewhat, but it's looking unlikely that they will get back into spending freely as they did just a few years ago.

Stopping the downturn is good, but we will want growth to come somehow. Remember that one critical form of growth will be the stimulus.
