Yeah, there certainly hasn’t been a credible negotiating partner on the Palestinian side for a long time. Israel has had a rocky road there as well

though for other reasons like Israeli democracy/coalitions (what’s the point of negotiating with someone who’s going to be voted out in six months?) and the untimely deaths of Rabin and Sharon. I’m not equalizing the two sides, but the stars never seem to come into alignment.
