This is a discussion board. Right? As such, if folks bring an argument that's against yours, your job is what? To bring a counter argument.
On B2, you lamented that pro-life folks are leaving this board. Looks like you hate seeing your friends leaving you, right? I would too.
Common sense dictates that you don't talk politics with people you want to keep as friends. My bestie is a conservative. Sometime during the 2000s he told me to "lay off Bushie." So guess what? I did and we have seen each other through trials and tribbleations since then.
Us liberals see health, including women's health, as a non-political issue. Naturally. Abortion is women's health. Right?
Democracy is based on people's choice and embryos are incapable of making choices. Right?
There is one group who has kept abortion as a political issue since you and I were in diapers: the Christian right. So now you are lamenting that pro-life folks are leaving this board over politics. Yet, it never had to be a political issue. It's all because of your Christian right. Right?
So you are trying to blame this board over something that your Christian right did: to turn women's health political. The Christian right didn't have to do that, but they did. So please, why are you blaming us for demonstrating to you how wrong and hypocritical and not even fitting into this country's sense of freedom the idea of "pro-life" is?
If you have an issue with how divisive abortion is, you need to take it up with your own Christian right? Why are you taking us to task with it? Women's health was never political to liberals.
