Everything was back to normal because Mobius did the thing that was needed to provide a respite for the Loom. He temporarily reset the thing that was causing problems. That's the end of episode one. In episode two, they enter the Sacred Timeline, which is where Hunter X-5/Zaniac has holed up.
Edit: Loki even says (while he's laying on Mobius) that they need to find Sylvie, who is bouncing around the Sacred Timeline now.
But you will see a LOT more of the Loom and that catwalk as the season continues.
