We'll have to agree to disagree that Disney Plus was a big reason this bombed.

I think sexism, lack of continued interest in the character, poor trailers and lack of Avengers: Endgame tie-in are the biggest reasons for the difference.
If the Captain Marvel character had pull, the two new characters from Disney Plus shows would just be a bonus to box office.
