For the past month, I've been eyeing a pricey camera, waiting for it to go on sale.

Now it's on sale. $200 off. 5.6% off.
So I am still hugely balking at it. But it has in-body image stabilization, dual SD slots, and 5x the focal points of the next-best model.
The next best model is also on sale, and compared to the pricier one, it's 38% cheaper.
That's enough of a savings that I can also buy a second lens at the same time.
I hate pragmatism, but it seems like the logical choice here.
(Both cameras are insanely better than my current one.)

I would go with the better glass, I guess. (NM)

Seems if the lesser model is acceptable I'd get that with a lens for the same amount I was prepared to spend on the higher model. -- nm

I have the Canon R5 and LOVE it. I believe that the R6 has many similar features but at a lower price point.

Can you buy the more expensive one used? I bought my Canon used and have had no problems. -- nm

do you need image stablization? dual cards are needed by pros like wedding photogs, journos, 2 lenses are better than one -- nm
