It's more want than need.

A friend of mine suggests getting the cheaper one, body-only, and getting a pricier lens. "Kit lenses are poo", he says.
The Canon R8 body-only + 24-105mm f4 L IS USM pairing comes in $1 cheaper than the Canon R6 Mark II with the non-L-series 24-105mm fMordorWhereTheShadowsLie.
However, that 24-105mm f4 L-series is technically also a kit lens. And the only other viable one in that price range, the 14-35mm f4 L-series, is probably not going to suit my needs on its own.
Analysis paralysis. But it's so much money that I don't want to make a mistake.
(L-series lenses are weathersealed, though, which might be enough of a benefit on its own regardless of it being a "kit" lens)
