I'm thinking Leanne Rimes type people who came out of the gate at 15 with a voice that was so great...and within 5 years was no longer anything.
Her and Evanescence would be my two biggest picks for this.

I thought Dream would have been bigger. And honestly, I think my answer is Kesha. A lot was out of her control and I feel bad. But that career ended. -- nm

I felt Alessia Cara should have been bigger. And while Alicia Keys was big, should have been much bigger. -- nm

Leanne went back to country and started trying to act according to wiki. Country starts don't tend to be megastars you hear about often.

No clue if it's true, but I had heard Evanescence was terrible live. So that may have impacted them. -- nm

Evanescence is top 25 all-time in hard rock sales. But I'd say The Hooters. -- nm

I would have said both of those made it, in a way, considering I heard of them and don’t know the song they’re famous for. -- nm
