card yesterday.

This was the first time she's ever gotten less than a really good report card, and she only really slipped in two classes, but I've warning about her getting complacent.

So, I really read her the riot act (she did a good job of accepting responsibility, and even while I was yelling at her I wanted to comfort her, which felt weird).

But all through that, laying unopened on the counter, was a letter from SCAD informing her that she was awarded an unapplied-for academic scholarship.
