apparently they were returning from a cheap motel known for drugs and hookers.
The car was being driven by the adult daughter of the current occupant in the back.
she had been called or somehow found out and had gone to the scene, but the ME had just left.
she wanted to get a look at her dad.
TIL: the ME office charges $400 for 15 minutes visit to view a body which for those who can't afford a proper burial/funeral probably can't afford that either.
