The US was not yet in World War 2 when the Steelers last fired a top-tier coach midseason. That's ridiculous and speaks largely to how good that franchise is at staying the course.
If I recall right, they have 3 head coaches since Nixon's inauguration.
Hire good people, get out of their way, let them do their jobs, don't panic. Weird concept to stability.
