The TSA screened 2,907,378 people at airports nationwide on Sunday, Nov. 26, hitting an agency record for the busiest day ever for air travel.
With fewer than one-half of one percent of 51,332 scheduled flights canceled.
For those interested:
- 56.2 people per flight (assuming one leg per person)
- 2003 people screened per minute (120,199 per hour, 33.4 per second)
