I've never understood why anyone uses Spotify.

The few times I tried it (okay, maybe only two) it seemed like it was (intentionally?) horrible as a free app. It might have been better as a paid app, but I wasn't going to give them money to find out.

For the consumer, SoundCloud always seemed better. Probably still as bad or worse for the musicians, though. Youtube music probably also bad for them.
