Beaker, thanks for sharing. I'll be digging into this. Kotaku's cursory and superficial story doesn't scratch the surface. There's got to be more.

What does Sony have to do with a consumer's purchase license with Discovery? Even if you bought it *through* Sony, they're not deprecating their on demand tool, as shows from other studios will still be available. So what's the deal?

I'll point out that sometimes a movie on Vudu changes distributor, so you won't be able to purchase a movie from "distributor a" but you'll be able to buy it from "distributor b". But then what happens if you bought it from "distributor a"? Nothing. You can still watch it. So what's Sony up to? What's Discovery up to?
