Remember the talk we had about the Christmas episode of The Bear? This is the kind of stuff I mean.

The zen part evolves from the coping mechanism I -- and apparently you -- have for just trying to tune out some of the noise to protect our own sanity.
I would walk through fire for any member of my family, but one of my brothers just cut off mom's Netflix plan over $8 a month. And he's wealthy. I clench my teeth every I think about it, and I'm not being hyperbolic.
We've had to jump through hours of hoops to get my 90-year-old mother back on Netflix because he somehow failed to notice it's her favorite form of entertainment. And I spent Thanksgiving working on her laptop that somehow requires four full minutes to boot -- Kim timed it -- and won't load her preferred browser. The family would have happily bought her a new laptop for Christmas, but he wouldn't hear of it. So, he "fixed" the one she has, which somehow looks virtually new but may have a processor from 2005. I suspect that the first time it tore up, she just got frustrated and stopped using it. He never noticed.
I love my family more than the air that I breathe, but every interaction challenges me as an introvert.
