In response to "Congrats. What's her "day-to-day" life like currently? Is she all-in on this or mixing it in with other things? Curious what that looks like IRL -- nm" by oblique

She has been all in on this for the last year and half or so, but I suspect she's going to have to start finding some side gigs to contribute to her

living expenses pretty soon. Coming out of school she was working part time, but when she signed with the publishing label she suddenly got very busy with them setting up work sessions for her with co-producers on a regular basis. All of these co-producers are overseas so she was working during the days with them and then often working during the night on what they had worked on. But it becomes more sporadic as the album starts to take shape. So the difficulty is that it's hard to keep a regularly scheduled job and meet the timing needs of others. So now as we're seeing how difficult it is to actually make a living on this (at least until something hopefully takes off one day), I think she's going to have to figure out a way to find some flexible income sources to contribute to her living expenses (we'll continue to help). I think there are some side businesses she could start on her own and maybe supplement with dog walking gigs and things like that. The next big inflection point will be next year. He publishing contract is up in July and we don't have a clear view yet on whether they want to extend (they wanted to add an extension option (in their discretion) about a year ago, but with no guarantees, so we just didn't see the upside to signing that). All in all, it's a really tough way to make a living. Most even mildly successful musicians need some side business to stay in it and I think she's going to have to figure that out over the next year or so also.
