Same. Everyone else in my immediate family except me is neurodivergent with my wife getting diagnosed in her 40s and the kids following.

For them the stimulants have worked well but my daughter is also going through a time of transition with her meds (SSRI, etc.) It definitely is challenging but like Spawn please take whatever encouragement you can from this. If I've learned anything from walking beside them is that finding the right healthcare professional is *immensely* important.
I suspect with your reaction to the meds you're working with someone good and not just someone dismissing your symptoms or not understanding your issues. Hope that you two can find a good solution for you.
