My Aunt Brenda has been an inspiration my entire life. Born with Down Syndrome, she never let that stop her from living the life she wanted. When she was younger she was active in Special Olympics and as a speaker to schools and community groups about her condition. She’s almost 60 and has had Alzheimer’s for several years now, and was just moved into hospice care. I has a sad.

Found this article about her from 1991. Also some bonus background on my great grandfather who I’ve mentioned here before. The internet is really amazing. (www.phoenixnewtimes.com)
