In response to "Over what? -- nm" by David

She's been raised thai for 10 years. Sooo...there is a bit of programming that has to be undone...

Her aunts back in Thailand told her that they electric toothbrush we use are terrible and to use the stick they sent her. Well the dentist didnt like that and we told her

And she comes back with "but my aunt..."

And then this is her first Christmas in America and she wasn't going to get her friends at school a christmas present until she found out they are getting her presents. So CJ offered to help her do this and then Sara went upstairs and didn't finish picking out stuff. So CJ get a little irritated and said 'hey these are your friends" and Sara comes back with "well in Thailand we don't do Christmas so it doesn't matter"...

and that kicked off feeling in CJ that she doesn't measure up to the aunts in thailand and she said some things (she's apologizing now).

The thing we both have to remember is that she was raised thai for 10 years so that's a lot overcome and in 8 months there's only going to be so much progress on that. Add in the fact she's 15 years old and it became a whole mix of mother/daughter stuff that I saw with Ashlee and Doreen.

Sara hasn't been affectionate to her mom with hugs and I love you's "we don't do that in Thailand". But when shes with her thai family here in town, it's a rush for hugs and kisses.

They're getting to know each other all over again.
