The nearby town our Trader Joe's is in has banned them (as has Chicago). Not a bother there but I've often wondered what the grocery pickup places do -- (edited)

In NJ everyone uses reusable bags. But I've seen lots of people who just take their stuff out to their car in a cart and dump it in the trunk

Ever since we have city managed compost, we don't even put bags in the kitchen bin. It gets a little dirty and we wash it twice a year and that's it -- nm
