ugh, poor you! :( - ear infections are up there with the worst pain I’ve ever had.

which, at this point, is saying something!
I didn’t have any as I kid that I remembered, had some as an adult. those and a tooth infection were just brutal, no good way to mentally distance when the pain is literally in or close to your face. they made me not let anyone get away with saying their kids “just” had an ear infection(s) after my experiences.
I hope your swelling goes down and relief comes very soon! 💕💕
