When she and Maria Sten went and searched that Marlo woman's house, Serinda and Maria had their firearms at the ready. When Serinda crossed behind Maria's back, she immediately dropped her arms so the firearm was pointing at the floor. When she crossed, she snapped her arms back up so the firearm was immediately up.

It all happened in less than a second and wasn't really important to the story. But the detail added to the authenticity of the scene. It showed they had a good weapons trainer and Serinda, as a good actor, paid attention to the training.
