911.gov says to call the 10 digit number for the local police but that’s rarely list on the website. They usually just saY to call 911.

Same source says that your local 911 can rarely route your call to another call center. But they also say that national hotlines like suicide prevention maintain a secret list of all the call centers nationwide so you’d think your local call center would have access to that list too, facilitating routing.
In a connected world such as ours, this seems like a gross oversight. One that should have been addressed decades ago.
