Watching a Wild Kingdom episode on the dwarf foxes of the Channel Islands and how they were almost wiped out by Golden Eagles.

We learned all about this on the Road Scholar program on the Channel Islands.

Bald Eagles which eat fish were decimated by DDT and replaced by Golden Eagles which eat small mammals. The Bald Eagles were re-introduced in a captive breeding program and restored to the islands, driving out the Goldens.

The foxes recovered from just a handful to thousands in just a few years!
