It explains why graphics card manufacturers are so hard core about putting DisplayPort jacks on their cards. And yet...

...I just watched LTT unbox a 115" TV and all the ports were HDMI and furthermore there was wild variation on *which* flavor of HDMI each port was! Man, 20 years from now, we'll either still be fighting this fight, or dumbfounded that this was ever a thing.
