My daughter and I have talked about how much of the "innovation" from the "disruptors" in the last decade has basically just ended up creating things

that are replications of what existed before, but worse and ultimately either more expensive or kind or unfair. Like how Uber ran taxis out of business costing cabbies tons of money from medallions that became worthless and then Uber got more expensive than cabs. Now we're recreating cable, but worse.
