The story that Max is nearing profitability is a myth. Analysts know this. I don’t know why this reporter repeats the lie.

HBO was a $2 billion per quarter cash cow. In the last quarter they merged HBO revenue with Max revenue and reported that “streaming has almost turned a profit!” No. Streaming burned $2 billion in profit last quarter, and more.
