I think they got the better of the deal but it wasn't a bad deal for the Knicks who weren't going to pay those guys and would have had them walk

for nothing at the end of the season.
Now they get a guy they've coveted and can woo him over the next few months to try and get him to stay long term.

I don't know what the Raptors plan to do after this season with those guys but they're not going to be cheap to re-sign and they're far from being in contention this year.
