Galveston, TX uses letters for their Avenues. Avenue N, Avenue O, Avenue P. Except there are avenues in between them sometimes.

That's where I went to college. They're all numbers, and Streets run one way (E->W) and the Roads run the opposite (N->S) or something like that. -- nm
