AND when I was in high school, I was in marching band. We were invited to the Cotton Bowl and it was a pretty big, fun trip.

(we went down to Houston and the Johnson Space Center, Galveston Bay, and that was also when I saw Prince in Dallas).
Anyways, on New Year's Day for the Cotton Bowl, it got SO extremely cold and it was freezing rain. As much as I loved Doug Flutie, I watched only the first half and then went back to the bus for the second half.
THEN, it snowed about a foot or more overnight. We had taken several buses to Texas and wound up having to stay over an extra night because the buses couldn't get through the snow.
