B2: Yeah, I was wondering about that elected official who got arrested...

That ABC News threads didn't have a link or any context. Shame on them. I think b. covered the pertinent details. For one thing, it was a Republican official and she was ordered removed by her Democratic colleagues. She was removed not because she was criticizing the sheriff but because she was being disruptive (if I had to guess, she was speaking out of turn or her time had expired, or something similar, and she was showboating). Arguably, she should have been removed from the room and that would have been the end of it. The arrest is the fault of the sheriff and his deputies. It could have been that she was arrested for disturbing the peace or disrupting a public meeting, but it's a lot more clickbait-y to say that she was arrested by the sheriff for criticizing the sheriff.
