Tried an Impossible Whopper when they launched because they had a "taste test" deal of like 2 for $7 for one of each.

If you try the patties individually, you can tell the difference between the two because they have different mouthfeels, but the IW is pretty easily masked by the Whopper toppings. If you didn't tell someone it wasn't beef they might not know.
