AMEX Gold - bonus chasing. Referral rebate + travel credit will pay for the first year. $1000/mo spend for monthly bonus, put away after that. Lounge pass access (which I've used!) Will cancel before 2nd year. meh earner. Cool card though, nice thunk.
TD Aeroplan Visa Infinite - bonus chasing, FYF. Will cancel after yearly spend hit. Poor earner, but useful this particular year, for first bag free on AC.
RBC West Jet World Elite MC- poor earner but will stay in the wallet forever because of the buddy pass and first bag free which saves 600-1000 per year.
Tangerine World MC - no fee, 2% on rotating categories. Useful travel perks.
Scotiabank Scene - no fee, poor earner except at movie theaters. Oldest card, barely used. useful to keep the age of credit history up.
HSBC Cashback MC - was a bonus chase. Have a bit of cashback remaining, need to just burn and cancel.
BMO World Elite MC - cash back, bonus chase, to be cancelled soon.
Canadian Tire Triangle World Elite - no fee, 4% Canadian Tire Money at the CT family of stores, allows bill payment for power, water and property taxes without a surcharge. Roadside assistance built in. (also have the regular CT Triangle, but only as it's burning off a no interest payment, and will be allowed to die on the vine)
AMEX Bonvoy - for the status! Annual one night stay. Not used all that much.
Recently cancelled:
AMEX Cobalt - best overall earner, but I can't justify a fee card that I'm not using and doesn't have an annual perk. Will probably replace it at some point, but maybe just with AMEX Green.
May apply soon: Simplii Cash Back - pure bonus chase.

Citi Costco card. With premium membership I get 6% off the already cheapest gas. That's it -- nm

I got the Chase Sapphire for the miles. Once I meet the threshold, should I get the Bonvoy for the free night? -- nm

I know, I know. I consider a credit card a convenient payment method. I cash in points when I have them, but I’m not about the points. -- nm

In your particular case, wouldn't the Canadian Tire Triangle World Elite have more status than the AMEX Bonvoy? -- nm
