I'm always surprised when a horror movie gets major marketing. Did anyone actually expect Orphan to blow up? There are ads for it *everywhere* here.

When was the last time a horror movie revenues and profits actually made it worthwhile to market to heavily? I can't imagine Orphan's $12M weekend justified its heavy focus.
