"Into the Loop" was really funny and the crowd was totally into it, too. Favorite parts: The Mimi Kennedy teeth bleeding scene slayed; basically every scene Peter Capaldi was in, but his scene with James Gandolfini at the UN was a personal favorite. Both were great. The "climbing the mountain" interview scene, and every callback joke about that was great. I also love to see David Rasche in movies lately, and he did not disappoint in this one.
The crowd was really into this movie. Mostly older people who I surmise listen to NPR, because NPR has been doing spots for "Into the Loop." The theater was packed. It was 7:30 on Fri night, and this was the only room in all of West LA playing this that I could see. Mimi Kennedy gave a talk after the screening, which was a treat. I also learned a lot about Armando Ianucci, and I want to see "The Thick of It" now, too. I also posted about this on FB to my friends. I described it as "The Office" meets "The West Wing" and Downing Street.
I want to see it again, because I'm sure I missed many jokes due to all the laughter!
