At the end, there were 5 people left. Three faithful, one guy that was a traitor from the beginning and one guy that was recruited to be a traitor.

At the end, they can end the game whenever they want. If there is a traitor left, they get all the money. If there are no traitors left, the faithful get all the money.

They (including the OG traitor) voted out the new traitor. They would’ve ended then and the OG traitor would’ve won. But the traitor, as he gave his last speech, called out the OG traitor and said “this is going to be a nice parting gift for you, isn’t it?”

So everyone was all of a sudden suspicious and voted out the OG traitor and then ended the game, winning the money.

That guy got screwed.
