I also have no idea why anyone should care whether their favourite artist gets a Grammy or not. Even less so than an Oscar, since there are so many different genres in music to represent. And as pointed out below, Grammys have always always been about the safe choice, with rare recognition of broken ground. Take a look at the list of winning albums over the years and count how many are still relevant.
