As for Reagen's story: after the anus-tazing story from last week, I find it hard to classify Gates' treatment as 'abuse' of power.

Two points: both these articles can be 100% correct simultaneously. And two, reading that, it sounds like the cop was baiting him for an arrest.

Agreed. They can both be right. And it's not like Gates' response comes from nowhere. There is a long history of racial profiling in this country.
