Bigger cars and EVs. Roads and parking garages are over engineered to same levels, but cars are going above that.

And it's not just floors, but guardrails and supporting beams and the like are also designed to those same levels, which are not going to be enough at some point.
Current bugbear of my sister, civil/structural engineer who's designed a few parking garages.
