Why does it come up? Because it is a GOP talking point and it doesn't have to come from a talking head to get traction.

Did you push back? No. You accepted a partisan report as a genuine, good-faith presentation of actual events instead of the carefully tailored political message it was and allowed it to make you doubt Biden's metal acuity. You bought the frame instead of questioning its veracity.
Friends call friends out when they make errors in judgement. Am I being harsh and combative, yeah, probably, but this is the same BS GOP framing discussion that we've (generic we) had for the last infinity years and it's tiring. It's tiring watching smart people swallow partisan messaging without critically examining it.
The cynicism that certain STers display on an almost daily basis wears on a person and today's the day I guess for me to say "stop it, it hurts".
