Although a "3 point shooting specialist" is just "an excellent player in the first place" in the modern NBA.
There would be no place for a Tom Brady to play D in ironman football, and the players bodies would break down that much faster. You wouldn't be able to run the same plays - streaks wiggle be right out. Rugby is a mostly horizontal game with bursts of vertical, and football is mostly vertical with bursts or horizontal. I say, let each sport do what it wants.
