iirc for Eiffel Tower, they release tickets 30 days prior which get snapped up by tour operators

Be sure to check the Louvre schedule. One day a week is a free day for locals. You don't wanna be in that mess. Lots of school kids there those days. -- nm

Eiffel Tower for sure. forget how far ahead you might be able to book Louvre tix (at the Musee Orsay it was easy to get a same-day ticket) -- nm
