Well....when the Rendon contract was signed, I don't think a Ohtani in even the idea of a player was a consideration for the Angels.

*shudder* In Arte's defense (excuse me I need a moment, I might be sick) it's not like they signed Rendon to an extension and used up the money that could have gone to Othani.
*hangs head* I can't believe that I'm gonna type this...
The Angels (poorly) decided that they were going to try to convince Ohtani to stay on a competitive basis and made a last gasp effort and traded away whatever minor league hope the club had in an effort to make the playoffs.
That effort went.....poorly.
Oh...I vaguely had a point here. Of all the things that Angels fans can justifiably point fingers at one Anthony Rendon, I don't think that Ohtani becoming a Dodger is one of them.
*sigh* I just had memories of when the Angels finally cut Pujols and he had a vaguely productive rest of the season in Dodger blue.
