scenes to push for changes (there's tons of reporting on this), but public facing support for Israel remains an important interest and the fact that Netanyahu is the PM means he doesn't get hit publicly directly. There's a pretty serious amount of protesting going on in Israel to bring about a change in government but it has to come internally (publicly).
