The left/fast lane is for passing. while speeding contributes to accident rate, its been found that most are caused by....

impatient drivers trying to get around some fast lane camper moseying along. this also the main cause of highway congestion.
if there is space in front of you and cars behind you...if cars are passing on your right, then you are obstructing traffic.
