I understand the perspective, but there is a difference between platforming and confronting. Imo this was the latter. -- (edited)

She already has a platform, and she's in a government position, the time to ignore her has past. I think we online imagine "everyone knows how terrible she is", but there are large amounts of non terminally online people who don't and now get to see how mean and vapid she is. This seems to be how even her allies see that she came across.
