it's not sudden. you have been through badness with him before, he hurt you (mentally and, dang it, he pushed you :/) in the past.

i've never called you an idiot, because, ayyiyi, i've been through some of this stuff myself. i know how it hurts, and i know from obsessing when there's an end and questions left unanswered. it's so freaking frustrating. and the lies and prolonging and ugh.
we can't wave a wand and give you the answers and make you feel better. there may be no good answers anyway. he may not know what the deal is, even, except he's moving along with someone else.
we want you to not hurt, and all we can do is offer advice for how to get through.
